The Mary Abbay Gourley Children’s Educational Trust is managed through Regions Bank and has been set up to benefit Mary Abbay’s three children, David (15), Georgeanne (13) and Abbay (11).  Mary Abbay was unrelenting in her support for education in general and did everything she could to enrich her own children’s educational experiences. 

The Trust at Regions Bank is administered by two Trustees, the Gourley children's aunt, Angie along with Mary Abbay's close friend and music partner, Jeanne Simmons. These two are charged with helping make the Trust grow over time, and with making decisions regarding David, Georgeanne and Abbay's educational needs. Mary Abbay encouraged her children to pursue musical interests in addition to their structured education. As a result, David has been studying guitar, Georgeanne has been studying harp and Abbay is in her third year of flute lessions. The Trust will help ensure that the children will be able to continue with their music as they prepare for college.

Church of the Holy Communion donated 100% of the proceeds from the sale of CD, Sacred Impressions, featuring music by Mary Abbay and Jeanne, the night of the concert to the Children’s Educational Trust. It proved to be a very generous donation to the trust.
